Hydrogen produced by water electrolysis for the seasonal storage<\/h3>\n

Renewable energy such as wind and PV require an electrical storage because of their intermittence and the variable amount of produced energy with the seasons.
\nHydrogen is suitable for the seasonal storage with a high storage capacity in kWh (> 300 kWh). It must be coupled with electrochemical batteries such as Lead, Lithium NMC, Titanate, Iron phosphate, Lead crystal \u2026 The battery can deliver enough instantaneous power in kW for the consumers and allow to smooth the intermittence of renewable energy. To be self-sufficient over the year, the electricity converted to hydrogen by electrolysis during the sunny season can be re-used with the help of fuel cells during the winter season. Self-sufficiency of the building as well as a drastic carbon emission reduction can be obtained thanks to the introduction of PV systems coupled with Hydrogen seasonal storage.<\/p>\n

The storage capacity to cover the energy coverage objective is\u00a0 roughly calculated with monthly balance and the final dimensioning must be obtained with hourly simulations.<\/p>\n

Simulations include the modeling of producers and consumers as well as metorological data : wind, irradiation, temperature… The optimimum dimensionning is based on forecast of power and energy as well as the other criteria : security, efficiency, return on investment<\/p>\n
